North East Guitar Show 2024

For 2024, THE NORTH EAST GUITAR SHOW returns to the superb, purpose-built event complex at Rainton Arena, Mercantile Rd, Houghton-le-Spring DH4 5PH and will be on Sunday 7th April from 10am to 4.00pm.

Last year’s event had record breaking numbers and this one is going to be even bigger and better with an exciting new feature - the BURST BELIEVERS vintage display with original ’58, ‘59 and ’60 Bursts and other rare guitars from the golden age. Come and talk to the owners of these classic guitars.

The location is close to all the North East major routes, provides first-class facilities and has excellent catering, a licensed bar and free parking for all.

Based on the style of USA table-top exhibitions, the North East Guitar Show is first and foremost a retail event. New, vintage and pre-owned guitars, amps and pedals will be available to buy, trade and sell from retailers, distributors, manufacturers, luthiers, boutique makers and private collectors – as well as a full range of strings and accessories.

There will be bargains and special show deals. Free appraisals of instruments and amps will be available.

Plus bands, performances and workshops all day in the live music pavilion. This year the stage will feature a rare appearance in the north of England for Welsh sensation JAMES OLIVER with his band, showcasing high energy rock’n’roll, country, rockabilly and blues guitar pyrotechnics. Catch him while you can!

Also returning to the live stage at the show are CARRIE MARTIN with her beautiful and intricately played folk/rock compositions and the North East's own CONNOR THOMAS with ToneWoodAmp displaying his superb acoustic guitar artistry.
